Fairytales for Grown-Ups - 1001 Nights

Syria, Third Space: An exhibition that brings a collection of work highlighting the British Council’s support of displaced Syrian artists to demonstrate the roles that artists play in supporting recovery and resilience. It seeks to show how artists can break boundaries, support and unite communities, re-interpret and offer alternative viewpoints through their practice. Part of the global 'Artists in Recovery' programme - in response to working in countries and regions in crisis - the exhibition highlights the vital roles artists play as storytellers, conveners, facilitators, spokespeople and the alternative space they provide (Third Space) with 30 pieces forming part of this show. Taking place from 21 January-18 February, 2015 at the British Council, 10 Spring Gardens, London SW1A 2BN.
