Karama Live: Formed five years ago by Moroccan Oud player and composer Soufian Saihi, Karama creates compositions that fuse tradition with modernity and finds inspiration from the sacred gnawa music, North African and Classical Arabic music. Karama’s songs tell the story of the immigrant, the homeless, technology and the Arab Spring, by bringing instrumentals and band members from all over the globe, including from Venezuela, Spain, Japan, Morocco and the UK. Since the release of the 'One year in London' album in 2011, the band has gone on to perform in many prestigious venues and festivals and is now considered one of the most popular Arabic bands in the UK. On the night, they will be supported by Vocal Global, who will also bring their musical journey from all around the world with Caribbean to Middle Eastern influences. Taking place on 16 June, 2016 at the Zigfrid von Underbelly of Hoxton, 11 Hoxton Square, London N1 6NU.
