Orange Blossom

Orange Blossom (France/Egypt): Performing as part of the thirteenth London Africa Music Festival, Orange Blossom offer electric whirlpools, electronic storms and Oriental arabesques: insolent mixing which is not satisfied with half measures. Their music suggests a free world of doubts where East and West fraternize with ease; an idea dreamed up by Carlos Robles Arenas (drummer, percussionist and composer) and Pierre Jean Chabot (violinist). During a residence in Cairo, both were caught up in the spells cast by the songs they heard; and, thus, was born the frame of a richly coloured musical world that culminated in their first album from 2005 and which was succeeded in 2014, after a long maturation, 'Under The Shade of Violets'. Taking place on 22 September, 2015 at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6LA.
