Poetry and Music Night Arab British Centre

Music And Poetry Night: The Arab British Centre (ABC) is hosting a special evening addressing the subject of: 'What does it mean to be an Arab, when you find yourself distant from an Arab land and the Arabic language? And, can poetic expression become a mean to identify oneself?' Dima al Khatib, Syrian-born Palestinian journalist and poet, and Farah Chamma, Dubai-born Palestinian spoken word poet, will be exploring these questions through poetry and music performance, to be accompanied by the Greek-Tunisian ney flute instrument player Yassin V. Taking place on 20 August, 2015 at the ABC, 1 Gough Square, London EC4A 3DE. This is a free event but seats are limited, RSVP essential at: info@arabbritishcentre.org.uk.
