Shubbak Festival 2015: The wonderful Shubbak (meaning ‘window’ in Arabic) is London’s largest biennial festival of contemporary Arab arts and culture. Founded in 2011 by the Mayor of London, Shubbak has become an independent charity, but that will continue to connect London audiences and communities with the best of contemporary Arab culture through an ambitious festival programme. With premieres and commissions of visual arts, film, music, theatre, dance, literature, architecture and debate, this year offers new and unexpected voices alongside more established artists with the full programme available through the link below. With altogether 60 events taking place at various venues across London from 11-26 July, 2015, this is truly the key moment in the arts calendar of the UK and the Arab world. Shubbak is not to be missed!
