The War Show

'The War Show' Screening with Q+A: Through observational and at times humorous footage of everyday life, 'The War Show' exposes what it is like to be a creative, ambitious young woman living amidst one of the most destructive conflicts of our time. This unprecedented documentary offers a rarely-seen image of youth culture in Syria, following the experiences of a DJ and her friends following Arab Spring of 2011, when the sad realities that follow envelop their hope for liberation. Working with acclaimed Danish director Andreas Dalsgaard, the film’s protagonists narrate and edit years of footage into a deeply moving personal narrative.. Rather than dwelling on the violence of the conflict, 'The War Show' focuses on what the revolution meant to individual people. Taking place on 6 February, 2017 and to be followed by a Q+A with director Dalsgaard at the Frontline Club, 13 Norfolk Place, London W2 1QJ.
