Born to South Korean and Vietnamese parents in Saudi Arabia, he grew up in Jordan where he learnt to speak Arabic fluently. His unique Asian-Arab perspective and bilingual charm allows him to deliver astute cultural commentary; and, for the past ten years, he has been turning heads and invoking laughter wherever he goes.
Omar Kamal Live in Concert: Omar Kamal is the Palestinian singer-composer from the city of Nablus whose multi-cultural influences have given him a rich taste in music, ranging from Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson to Arabic greats such as Mohammed Abdel Wahab, Fairouz and even modern trend setters like The Weeknd. Kamal sings a variety of genres in a number of languages, plays his own instrument, composes his own music and is always looking to add new original sounds and elements to his repertoire.
